If we give it a deeper opinion then we will notice that some caste such as Islam also trust that there is a day of judgement, and people who did legal and lawful acts through out their lives will go to paradise and human beings who broke laws and did a lot of illegal things during their life time will be pushed in to the hell.
Basically, the law system just came with the starting of humanity and will stay evermore. This world also has a policy of manner known as worldwide law. These laws are for every man and woman on the face of this earth. International laws know no boundaries.
